Application Process: Each of the balms and the neutralizer is used as part of a detailed application process, including hair condition assessment, proper washing, rolling on curlers, application of the balm and neutralizer, and final care stages. FORM me UP permanent wave step by step:

Step 1 . Conduct an interview with the client and complete the pre-treatment questionnaire

Step 2. Assess the condition of the hair.

Each time before the treatment, perform a wet hair test to check whether the hair is eligible for the perm treatment.

If wet hair under the influence of stretching   is strongly corrugated and breaks off, it is safer to refrain from performing the procedure. It is best to cut the burnt   parts of the hair   or use an intensively moisturizing and regenerating treatment,   e.g. Botox   Platinum or Pearl by Diana.

We recommend performing a skin test 24 hours before the procedure to exclude an allergic factor.

This test is best done   24 hours before treatment on the back of the head near the hairline or on the inside of the arm between the wrist and the elbow. In the event of an allergic reaction,   wash the product off immediately with plenty of lukewarm water.

Step 3. Discuss with the client the effect she wants to achieve, evaluate the hair's capabilities and choose the appropriate rollers and winding method for the treatment.

Step 4. Wash your hair twice very thoroughly with a cleansing shampoo. If you notice a large amount of built-up styling and care cosmetics on the hair, or if the hair has been oiled, it is recommended to wash the hair with a cleansing shampoo 3 times, as failure to remove excess products from the hair may block the perm balm from penetrating, thus weakening the curl.

Step 5 . Dry your hair with a towel, divide it into sections and start winding it on rollers. Remember to protect the ends with paper to make it permanent.  Separations for winding on rollers, especially with long hair, should be very thin and always separated with very high precision. The method of separating them will affect the final shape of the hairstyle.

Step 6. After winding the whole thing onto rollers, apply the selected FORM me UP 01 balm for natural hair or FORM me UP 02 for delicate, bleached, colored and sensitized hair.

Step 7. After winding, wet the rollers with water using a mist sprayer.

Step 8. Apply a small amount of balm using the bottle with a narrow applicator attached to the set directly on each of the rollers, leave for 5 minutes. The application with a very narrow applicator makes the consumption of the product even 3 times less than when applying with a sponge or directly from the lotion bottle.

Repeat the application of the lotion and wait another 5 minutes.

Apply the Form me Up balm a third time and leave it on for 20 to 45 minutes, depending on the condition of the hair. After 20 minutes, check the level of the twist.

With a spiral perm, we do not check the curl level, we keep the balm on the hair for 40 minutes.

Three applications of small amounts of the balm will guarantee a thorough penetration of the balm into the hair, especially in the case of perm on long hair. This is of great importance for the final effect of the treatment.

Step 9. After applying the balm to the perm, put a foil cap on the wound strands, protecting the sensitive parts of the skin with cotton wool strips, which will absorb the liquid leaking from the rollers and prevent possible skin irritation.

Step 10. Leave the rollers in the hair for 20 to 40 minutes depending on the desired effect. During the procedure, control the condition of the twist after 20 minutes. If after 20 minutes the curl is not satisfactory, extend the time of operation of the lotion to a maximum of 40 minutes.

Step 11 . Rinse the rollers thoroughly with warm water without unrolling the rollers.  Rinse your hair continuously for 10 minutes. Then thoroughly drain the excess water with a towel, invite the client to the armchair.

Step 12. Using a hair dryer with lukewarm air, dry the rollers for 5 minutes.

Step 13. Apply the FORM me UP Neutralizer to each roller using the bottle with a narrow applicator starting from the back of the head towards the front. Without waiting time, apply the neutralizer the same way a second time. Leave for 5 minutes when finished.

Step 14. After this time, start by gently removing the rollers, then when you unroll all the rollers, gently squeeze the curls to distribute the neutralizer more thoroughly from the roots to the ends. Leave for another  3 minutes.

Step 15. Wash your hair with a delicate Perm Active acidifying shampoo, rinse thoroughly, then apply a small amount of Perm Active acidifying mask, leave on the hair for   approx. 10-15 minutes and rinse thoroughly.

Step 16. Spray the hair with Form Me Up 10 in 1 Conditioner and press the product thoroughly into the hair.

Apply a small amount of Curl Power hair fluid on the hair and press it into the hair for about 5 minutes.

Step 17. Start drying your hair with a diffuser dryer. It is recommended to   use a summer air stream to dry curls.
