STEP 1 Consultation / Allergy Test / Hair Strength Test
During the consultation, we conduct a detailed interview with the client about any previous chemical treatments performed on their hair, check the thickness and type of hair (this knowledge is essential to determine the correct parameters for the service). It's useful to have a client card to avoid forgetting anything. We also provide the client with detailed post-treatment care information (we also provide a paper version of the information for the client to take home).
The allergy test should ideally be carried out 24 hours before the planned treatment. We perform the test by applying the product to the back of the head near the hairline or on the inside of the arm between the elbow and wrist. If an allergic reaction occurs (strong redness, itching), rinse the product thoroughly with lukewarm water and do not perform the styling treatment. However, it's important to note that the product contains acids that can cause a tingling sensation on the skin (this is normal, especially for sensitive skin).
The hair strength test is performed on wet hair. By stretching small sections of wet hair (preferably at the ends), we can check if the hair is permanently damaged (choose different locations for testing). If the hair breaks or splits during stretching, refrain from performing the styling treatment (this indicates that the hair's sulfur bridges are permanently/irreversibly damaged). For such damaged hair, we can only suggest cutting off the most damaged parts and applying suitable hair care with our Botox formula. If the hair is considerably stretchable during the test but returns to its original form, it means that the hair's sulfur bridges are partially damaged (caution and low parameters are recommended).
STEP 2 Choose the right product according to the table below:
GOLDEN PROTEIN Hair type: All hair types, All curl types, Bleached, Colored (light and dark), Natural
BLUE PROTEIN Hair type: All hair types, All curl types, Colored (dark), Natural
Hybrid mix (GOLDEN+BLUE) 50% 50% Hair type: This hybrid mix is recommended especially for dry hair that needs toning (note: the treatment can lighten colored hair by up to 3 shades). Beware! Do not use more than 50% blue protein due to the strong purple-blue pigments that can permanently change the hair color.
STEP 3 Determine the product's exposure time and styling parameters according to the table below:

Note! It's necessary to use a good titanium straightener for the treatment because of its even temperature distribution. It's useful to have two straightener sizes: one with wide plates (4.5-6 cm) and a smaller one (about 2.5 cm) for shorter sections like a fringe.
STEP 4 Hair washing:
For washing before the treatment, we use the Purify shampoo from the range (shake well before use). Distribute a small amount of shampoo in the hands and apply to wet hair. Massage until the hair feels rough (the hair cuticles are open) and then rinse. Repeat this step 2 times. Finally, squeeze out the excess water with a disposable towel.
Note! The use of the Purify shampoo is essential due to its alkaline pH, which properly prepares the hair for the straightening product application.
STEP 5 Drying:
Dry the hair with a blow dryer after combing it. Dry natural hair completely, but if you're working with colored or bleached hair, don't fully dry it (leave 15%-30% moisture). If the hair dries during the treatment, moisten the section with water from a spray bottle.
STEP 6 Product preparation:
Prepare the correct mix by choosing according to the table (refer to step 2). Due to the organic ingredients, the Golden & Blue Protein products separate, and the heavier components settle at the bottom. Shake the protein bottles vigorously to remix all ingredients (this is crucial for the product to work effectively). When preparing the hybrid mix, it must be thoroughly
STEP 7 Application of the product:
Work with horizontal sections of 1-2 cm width (the thicker the hair, the narrower the section). Apply the product 1 cm from the root to the hair tips. With highly curled hair, we try to apply the product as close to the scalp as possible (be mindful of the allergy test). Apply the product generously so it can act uniformly on the hair.
STEP 8 Product exposure time on the hair:
Use the table (refer to step 3) with proper attention to the hair condition, type, and curl.
STEP 9 Removing excess product from the hair:
After applying the product on the hair for a certain period, rinse it with lukewarm (not hot) water. Rinse about 80% of it until you feel a light oily film under your fingers.
STEP 10 Drying:
Dry the hair completely, 100%. Remember the hair must be fully dry before proceeding to the next step.
STEP 11 Styling:
After drying, divide the hair into sections. Ensure you use a titanium plate straightener during styling. Adjust the straightener's temperature and number of passes according to the table (refer to step 3), considering the hair condition, type, and curl. Work with thin horizontal sections of 1-2 cm width. Press the product into the hair very slowly and precisely (smooth motion) until the hair shines, and repeat the correct number of times. Wait 3 minutes until the last stretched strands have cooled down, then proceed to the final step.
During styling, it's crucial to observe the hair structure's reaction. If the hair starts to look dull, stop styling that portion.
If the hair isn't weighed down after straightening, there's no need to wash it. In this case, skip steps 12 and 13.
STEP 12 Hair washing:
For the final wash, use the Golden & Blue Protein Homecare products (shampoo and mask). Wash the hair 3 times to thoroughly cleanse it of the product. Squeeze out the excess moisture with a disposable towel and then apply the moisturizing mask and leave it for 10 minutes. Rinse the product thoroughly with lukewarm water.
STEP 13 Drying:
Dry the hair with a hairdryer on warm or lukewarm settings (avoid hot air) and regularly comb the hair while drying. It's advisable to instruct the client on how to do this correctly.
